Fortnite Locker Favorites: Find Your Best Skins Faster
A crowded Locker does not need more scrolling. Mark the cosmetics you actually use as Favorites, then filter each cosmetic type down to your own short list in seconds.
i Steps verified against Epic Games’ Locker Favorites support guide.
Open the Fortnite Locker and select the item you want to keep close. On console, press and hold the left stick; on PC, open the … menu and choose Favorite Item. To see only your saved cosmetics, choose an item type, open Sort + Filter, select Favorites, then apply the filter.
What Locker Favorites actually do
Favorites are a personal shortcut inside the Locker. They let you isolate the cosmetics you want to reach quickly without treating every owned item as an equal choice.
Favoriting does not change ownership, rarity, availability or account value. It simply gives a cosmetic a useful personal tag. This is why it works especially well for a deep Locker: the useful rotation can stay small even when the collection does not.
How to favorite Fortnite skins and cosmetics
The action is quick. Navigate to the exact cosmetic first, then use the prompt for the platform you play on.
Open the Locker
Start Fortnite and go to the Locker. Choose the item category you want to organize, such as Outfits, Emotes or another cosmetic type.
Select the cosmetic
Find the exact skin, emote or item you want to mark. The favorite control applies to the selected Locker item.
Use the right platform control
On console, press and hold the left stick. On PC, click the … button and choose Favorite Item.
Repeat only for your real rotation
Mark the cosmetics you actually use, not every item you vaguely like. A smaller Favorites filter is easier to use in a live match lobby.
How to filter your favorite skins
Favoriting saves the item; filtering is what makes the tag useful. Stay inside the cosmetic type you want to browse, for example, Outfits, then open Sort + Filter. Choose Favorites, select Apply, and Fortnite shows the favorite items for that type.
| Goal | Use this Locker path | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Find favorite skins | Outfits → Sort + Filter → Favorites → Apply | Your marked Outfits only |
| Find favorite Emotes | Emotes → Sort + Filter → Favorites → Apply | Your marked Emotes only |
| Browse the full collection again | Return to the filter and remove the Favorites selection | All items in that type return |
Epic’s instructions describe filtering Favorites after navigating to the item type you want to check. If favorite Outfits show but favorite Emotes do not, switch to the Emotes category and apply the Favorites filter there.
A smarter way to organize a large Locker
Favorites work best as a fast selection pool, not a second archive of everything. Pick a simple system you can remember at a glance.
This is an organization habit, not an official rarity rating. Keep rare, sentimental and competitive-use cosmetics separate in your own thinking; the Favorites control does not tell other players why you marked an item.
Favorites troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check | Safe next step |
|---|---|---|
| I cannot find a favorite skin | You may be in a different Locker type or have not applied the Favorites filter. | Open Outfits, then use Sort + Filter → Favorites → Apply. |
| I only see favorite Outfits | Favorites are filtered within the item type you are browsing. | Switch to the relevant type, such as Emotes, and apply Favorites there. |
| The item is not in the Locker | Favorites do not restore cosmetics, purchases or missing items. | Do not treat the tag as proof of ownership; use the relevant missing-item or account guide. |
| I want to remove an item from the list | The item no longer belongs in the shortcut pool. | Select it and use the favorite control again to remove its Favorite status, then reapply the filter. |
