How to Enter Fortnite Map Codes
Use Discover Search to find a published island by its code or name, select it for the lobby and save the good ones so you do not need to search again.
Open Play, scroll to Search, enter the island code or name, then select the matching island and press Play.
Launch Fortnite and choose Play in the upper-left corner. Scroll down to reveal Search, then enter the island name or code. Select the matching result, use Select to move it to the game lobby, then press Play. Use the three dots on the thumbnail to Favorite a map you want to keep.
Enter the code through Discover Search, not a third-party website.

Discover can change as islands are updated or re-rated. Check the current detail page when you return to an old favorite.
Fix the search input before assuming Fortnite is broken.
The most useful first check is the exact code or title. An island code is attached to a published island, so an incomplete, mistyped, unpublished or no-longer-playable reference does not produce the result you expected.
Compare the code with the original source character by character. Do not rely on a partially remembered string.
If you have the title, use Search by name. A clear title result can reveal a simple transcription issue in the code you received.
Island codes are provided for published islands. A map that was not published, was changed or is no longer available will not behave like a normal active result.
When a result does appear, verify the title and developer before selecting it; similar names can represent a completely different experience.
A locked island is a permission question, not a code-format problem.
