Fortnite Refund Tickets: Refund Skins Without Wasting One
Bought the wrong Item Shop cosmetic? Fortnite has two different self-service routes. The fast one is a 24-hour cancellation; the slower one uses one of your limited Return Tickets.

If you bought an eligible Item Shop item with V-Bucks, cancel it within 24 hours before using or equipping it to avoid spending a ticket. After that, an eligible purchase can use a Return Ticket within 30 days. Each account starts with three tickets, restores one every 365 days, and can hold no more than three.
Cancel Purchase vs. Return Ticket
Start by identifying which path applies. The distinction is important because only one route consumes a Return Ticket.

Both paths remove the item and return the V-Bucks. A completed return is final, so inspect the item and the route shown on Fortnite’s confirmation screen before you submit.
How to refund a Fortnite skin in-game
Fortnite presents the available option for every eligible purchase. Follow the in-game menu rather than assuming an item qualifies.
Open the player menu
Launch Fortnite, select the Player icon in the top-right, then open the hamburger menu.
Choose Support and Refunds
Select Support and Refunds, then choose Return or cancel purchase.
Find the exact Item Shop purchase
Review the listed purchases and select the cosmetic you want to remove. If the purchase is a bundle, Epic says the full bundle must be returned together.
Read the option and confirm
Fortnite will tell you whether this is a cancellation or ticket return. Confirm only after checking that this is the intended item; the returned V-Bucks appear on the confirmation screen.
What you can and cannot return
“I paid V-Bucks” is not enough by itself. Epic makes the Item Shop return system available for most eligible purchases, but lists specific exclusions.

How Return Tickets replenish
Ticket management is simple but slow: every Fortnite account starts with three Return Tickets. Once below the cap, the account receives one ticket every 365 days. You can never hold more than three tickets at a time.
That makes the 24-hour cancellation route the better choice whenever it is available. Do not use a ticket on an item that can still be cancelled for free. Conversely, do not expect Epic Support to top up the balance: Epic explicitly says Support cannot grant extra Return Tickets.
A Return Ticket returns the V-Bucks for one eligible transaction; it is not cash, does not undo every kind of purchase and does not provide a workaround for a platform refund or a payment dispute.
Can you refund from the Fortnite web Item Shop?
Yes. Epic also provides the self-service purchase screen on the web Item Shop. Sign in at fortnite.com/shop, open the Player icon, select Return and Cancel Purchases, choose Show Purchases, select the item and confirm. The same eligibility limits still apply.
This is useful if you purchased through the web shop, but the rule is unchanged: use the screen’s own eligibility result as the final answer. An unavailable item is not made eligible by using another device or platform.

How many Return Tickets do I get in Fortnite?
Each account starts with three Return Tickets. Fortnite restores one ticket every 365 days when you are below the cap, and you cannot hold more than three at once.
Can I refund a Fortnite skin after 30 days?
Not with a Return Ticket. Epic says eligible items must have been bought within the previous 30 days. If that period has passed, the self-service return option is unavailable.
Does Cancel Purchase use a Return Ticket?
No. For an eligible Item Shop purchase, Cancel Purchase is a separate 24-hour route. The purchase must not have been used or equipped in any game mode, and each item can only be cancelled once.
Can I return a gifted skin or a Battle Pass?
No. Epic lists gifted purchases and passes among the exclusions from Cancel Purchase and Return Tickets. Pass Levels and Premium Reward Tracks are excluded as well.
Can Epic Support give me more Return Tickets?
No. Epic’s support guidance states that Player Support cannot grant additional Return Tickets. The normal 365-day replenishment rule and three-ticket cap remain in place.
