VALORANT rank distribution percentages for V26 Act 4
The table uses the all-region, grouped PC distribution returned by VStats on July 13, 2026. The sample contains 2,148,287 ranked records. Percentages are rounded to two decimals, so tiny differences can appear when totals are added manually.
| Rank group | Player share | Approximate frequency | Position on the ladder |
|---|---|---|---|
| Iron | 6.66% | About 1 in 15 | The smallest group below Bronze, but much larger than elite ranks. |
| Bronze | 21.46% | About 1 in 4.7 | One of the three crowded central groups. |
| Silver | 22.41% | About 1 in 4.5 | The largest major rank group in this snapshot. |
| Gold | 20.85% | About 1 in 4.8 | Still heavily populated and near the center. |
| Platinum | 14.20% | About 1 in 7 | Above the median, but not yet a rare elite tier. |
| Diamond | 9.37% | About 1 in 10.7 | Clearly above the middle of the active ladder. |
| Ascendant | 4.25% | About 1 in 23.5 | High rank territory directly below Immortal. |
| Immortal | 0.75% | About 1 in 133 | Less than one percent of the tracked sample. |
| Radiant | 0.05% | About 1 in 2,000 | The smallest group and the top of the regional ladder. |
What is the average VALORANT rank in 2026?
There are two useful answers. Silver is the largest major group, while the exact median falls in Silver 3. Iron, Bronze and Silver together account for about 50.53% of the sample. That means the halfway point is reached near the top of Silver, just before Gold begins.
Silver contains more tracked ranked records than any other major rank group.
The cumulative share crosses 50% inside Silver 3 in the current sample.
Gold is above the median line, even though it remains one of the most populated groups.
This is why a Silver or Gold badge should not be treated as proof that a player is unusually weak. Those ranks contain a huge portion of active Competitive players. The difference between two players at the same visible rank can also be meaningful because MMR, recent form, role, map pool and match volume are not shown by the badge alone.
How rare are Diamond, Ascendant, Immortal and Radiant?
The ladder narrows quickly after Platinum. Use cumulative thresholds to understand prestige more accurately than looking at one rank group in isolation.
Radiant is around 0.05%
Radiant accounts for roughly one in 2,000 tracked records in this snapshot. The exact number varies by region and activity because Radiant is tied to regional leaderboards. Riot has historically described Radiant as the top 500 players per region after the required RR threshold is reached.
Every VALORANT rank from Iron to Radiant
The visible ladder has nine major ranks. Iron through Immortal each contain three sub-ranks. Radiant stands alone at the top. The order is Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Ascendant, Immortal and Radiant.
| Order | Major rank | Sub-ranks | Current share |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Iron | Iron 1, 2 and 3 | 6.66% |
| 2 | Bronze | Bronze 1, 2 and 3 | 21.46% |
| 3 | Silver | Silver 1, 2 and 3 | 22.41% |
| 4 | Gold | Gold 1, 2 and 3 | 20.85% |
| 5 | Platinum | Platinum 1, 2 and 3 | 14.20% |
| 6 | Diamond | Diamond 1, 2 and 3 | 9.37% |
| 7 | Ascendant | Ascendant 1, 2 and 3 | 4.25% |
| 8 | Immortal | Immortal 1, 2 and 3 | 0.75% |
| 9 | Radiant | One top rank | 0.05% |
Ascendant was added between Diamond and Immortal in Patch 5.0. Riot explained that the extra rank helped move players out of an overcrowded lower ladder without overpopulating Diamond and Immortal.
Why VALORANT rank distribution changes by Act
A percentage table is a timestamp, not a permanent law. Current distribution can move even when the rank names stay the same.
Visible ranks compress when a new season or major reset begins, then spread as players complete more Competitive matches.
Patch 13.00 adjusted RR calculations and matchmaking consistency, which can change how quickly visible ranks converge.
A snapshot based on active matches changes when casual, returning or high-rank players queue at different rates.
Different trackers cover different matches, regions, platforms and time windows, so their totals will not match exactly.
Your visible rank is useful, but it is not your full skill profile
Rank shows where the visible progression system currently places the account. Matchmaking also uses hidden MMR. Riot’s RR system is designed to move visible rank toward the level suggested by MMR, so gains and losses can differ between two players with the same badge.
Diamond being roughly top 14% is useful context. It does not predict one match or guarantee a mechanical advantage.
RR is visible progress. MMR is the hidden matchmaking estimate that influences convergence.
A single promotion or demotion says less than stable performance across maps, roles and several sessions.
Rank percentiles from another Act or platform can produce a misleading comparison.
Read the VALORANT RR vs MMR guide for the system behind gains and losses, or use the full VALORANT Ranked guide for placements, Act Rank and progression.
Rank alone does not tell you whether an account fits
A rare badge can be attractive, but region, access security, Competitive eligibility and current restrictions determine whether the account is practical. Inventory is separate from ranked skill, and an old screenshot does not prove the current badge.
Use the current Career screen and recent match history, not only a static listing image.
Region affects servers, latency, currency and whether the account fits the buyer’s actual setup.
Account level, behavior restrictions and high-rank MFA requirements can affect access.
A strong inventory does not verify MMR, and a high rank does not prove valuable skins are present.
VALORANT Rank Distribution FAQ
What is the average VALORANT rank in 2026?
In the July 13 V26 Act 4 VStats snapshot, the median falls in Silver 3. Silver is also the largest major rank group at 22.41%, followed by Bronze at 21.46% and Gold at 20.85%.
What is the most common VALORANT rank?
Silver is the largest major rank group in the current snapshot at 22.41%. At sub-rank level, Silver 1 is the single largest tier at about 8.35% of the tracked sample.
How rare is Radiant in VALORANT?
Radiant represents about 0.05% of the current tracked snapshot, or roughly one in 2,000 ranked records. Riot also limits Radiant through regional leaderboard requirements, so it remains the smallest rank group.
What percentage of VALORANT players are Diamond or higher?
Diamond, Ascendant, Immortal and Radiant together account for about 14.43% of the July 13 V26 Act 4 snapshot. That places Diamond and above clearly outside the middle of the ranked ladder.
Does the VALORANT rank distribution include every player?
No. Riot does not publish a live public table covering every ranked player. VStats describes its distribution as an approximation based on matches in its dataset, so the percentages are a useful snapshot rather than an official census.
Why does the VALORANT rank distribution change between Acts?
Rank resets, player activity, MMR target changes, RR tuning and the age of an Act can move players between visible ranks. A snapshot early in an Act can look different from one taken after the ladder has settled.
Is VALORANT MMR the same as visible rank?
No. MMR is the hidden matchmaking estimate, while rank and RR are the visible progression system. RR gains and losses help move the visible rank toward the level suggested by MMR over time.
How often should VALORANT rank percentages be updated?
Check the source after major Act changes, rank resets or competitive system updates. Always show the snapshot date and avoid combining percentages from different Acts or platforms.
