What to do after a crash or disconnect
A disconnect becomes worse when the recovery is slow and unstructured. Use the same four-step response every time so you lose as little match time as possible.
Switch off a failing VPN, stop large downloads and confirm the platform service is online.
Reopen the game or launcher without wasting time on a full device reset unless required.
Return to the active match before browsing menus, stores or another playlist.
After the match, read the client notice and Abandon action in the Reputation Center.
Match cancellation protects the lobby, not the missing player
When a player disappears at the opening of a competitive match, cancellation can stop the remaining team from being forced into an unfair game. It does not turn the original absence into a free exit. The missing player can still receive an abandon result while the other players return to matchmaking.
Use the option the client offers and avoid leaving manually before the process finishes.
