VALORANT Behavior Standing

VALORANT At-Risk Alert 2026: Meaning and Fix

See what the warning actually means, where the live status appears and how to stop a behavior signal from becoming a real penalty.

Quick answer

At risk is a warning. It is not automatically a ban.

Riot’s Behavior Standing indicator appears in the Social Panel when an account has an active penalty or is at immediate risk of a future penalty. Expand it and read the exact status. Stop the behavior immediately, keep future matches clean and do not trust anyone promising instant alert removal.

Read the current Behavior Standing, not an old screenshot

Patch 12.00 added a Social Panel indicator for active penalties and accounts at immediate risk of a future penalty. Expand that indicator inside the current client. It gives you more useful context than a cropped warning image, a seller message or a guess based on yesterday’s queue.

Open the Social Panel

Look for the Behavior Standing indicator near the account and social controls.

Expand the indicator

Read whether the client describes an at-risk signal, an active penalty or both.

Check queue access

Do not assume Ranked or Premier is available just because the rank badge is visible.

Check account security separately

A behavior warning does not confirm safe email access, ownership or login security.

Do not hide the alert from yourself. Closing the panel changes nothing. The useful move is understanding the exact category before the next queue.
Status levels

A warning, a restriction and a ban are different states

The biggest SEO and player mistake is treating every warning like a permanent ban. Riot uses a penalty ladder. The displayed status tells you how urgent the account situation has become.

At-Risk AlertFuture penalty is close

The account needs an immediate behavior correction. This is a warning state, not proof of a game ban.

Active restrictionA feature is limited

Communications, team queues, Competitive access or other features may be unavailable for a stated period.

Game banPlay is blocked

This is a serious enforcement action and should never be described as a normal warning.

Common causes

Repeated disruption matters more than one bad feeling

Riot tracks behavior over time and says penalties can scale with frequency and severity. The alert does not disclose every internal score, but these are the main behavior categories that can damage account standing.

AFK and leaving

Repeated absence, disconnects or leaving rounds damages match quality and can escalate into queue or Competitive restrictions.

Queue dodging and remake abuse

Frequent dodges or deliberate remake patterns can trigger firmer penalties, especially when the behavior repeats.

Voice or text abuse

Insults, threats, harassment and repeated toxic communication can lead to communications or stronger restrictions.

Retaliating in comms

Riot warns that its systems can flag what you say even when another player started the argument. Mute and report instead.

Account sharing

Another person’s actions can create a behavior problem on an account you later have to deal with.

Severe violations

Zero tolerance behavior can skip the gentle part of the ladder and produce a serious penalty.

Response plan

What to do after an At-Risk Alert appears

There is no useful trick here. The correct response is deliberately boring: understand the status, remove the cause and stop adding new violations.

Read the details

Identify whether the warning points to communications, participation, queues or another behavior category.

Do not queue unstable

If your connection, hardware, time or mood cannot survive a full match, fix that before pressing Play.

Finish every match

Avoid leaving, repeated AFK rounds and deliberate remake or dodge patterns.

Mute and report

Do not answer toxicity with toxicity. Use the client controls and keep your own messages clean.

Stop account sharing

Secure access and make sure no one else can create another behavior event on the account.

Recheck later

Use the live Social Panel status. Do not rely on a promised match count or an instant cleanup service.

Duration

Riot does not publish one universal At-Risk timer

Behavior systems consider patterns, frequency and severity. Riot has described behavior scores as recovering when matches pass without new incidents, but the company does not give every player one public countdown that guarantees the warning disappears after a fixed number of games.

DoKeep future play clean

Finish matches, use calm communications and stop the behavior shown in the expanded status.

Do notChase an exact match count

No trustworthy source can promise every account clears at the same point.

Escalate when neededAsk Riot for clarity

Use Support if the client information conflicts, looks wrong or lacks enough context to understand an active penalty.

Buyer checklist

Account standing comes before rank and skins

An old screenshot cannot prove current Behavior Standing. If an account handover is involved, check the live client and security fundamentals before treating a strong rank or expensive inventory as value.

Current Social Panel

Use a fresh in-client view of Behavior Standing and any active restriction.

Full access

Confirm the email, recovery path and login details can be secured properly.

Correct region

Region affects servers, currency, latency and the practical fit of the account.

Ranked and Premier access

Check queue eligibility instead of assuming the displayed rank means every mode is available.

Use our VALORANT account security checklist and post-purchase security guide for the access side of the process.

Official support

Contact Riot when the displayed status needs clarification

Support is useful when the client shows conflicting information, the penalty category appears incorrect, an access event may have involved another person or you need the original source of truth for an active restriction. It is not an instant warning removal service.

Keep the ticket factual. Include when the warning appeared, what the Social Panel shows, any active duration, connection failures or account access changes. Do not invent a story or submit repeated tickets for the same answer.

Use the official VALORANT Support request form. Riot can generally help only the original account owner, so ownership and access details matter.

Frequently asked questions

VALORANT At-Risk Alert FAQ

What does a VALORANT At-Risk Alert mean?

An At-Risk Alert means the account is at immediate risk of a future behavior penalty. It appears through Behavior Standing in the Social Panel and can be expanded for more detail. The warning itself is not automatically an active restriction or game ban.

Where can I check my VALORANT Behavior Standing?

Open the VALORANT client and check the indicator in the Social Panel. Expanding it shows information related to active penalties and at-risk penalties. Use the current client status instead of an old screenshot.

Is a VALORANT At-Risk Alert the same as a ban?

No. An At-Risk Alert warns that a future penalty is close. An active restriction limits features such as communications, queues or Competitive access. A game ban blocks play and is a separate, more serious enforcement action.

What can cause an At-Risk Alert in VALORANT?

Repeated AFK behavior, leaving, queue dodging, remake abuse, disruptive voice or text communication and other behavior violations can lower account standing. Riot says frequency and severity affect how penalties escalate.

How do I remove a VALORANT At-Risk warning?

There is no legitimate instant removal button. Read the exact Behavior Standing details, stop the behavior, finish matches, avoid unstable queues, mute and report instead of retaliating, and keep future play clean. Contact Riot Support if the displayed status is unclear or appears wrong.

How long does a VALORANT At-Risk Alert last?

Riot does not publish one universal timer for every At-Risk Alert. The duration can depend on the behavior history and whether new violations occur. Do not trust a seller or service that promises removal after an exact number of matches.

Can an At-Risk Alert stop me from playing Ranked or Premier?

The warning alone is not necessarily an active queue restriction, but continued behavior can escalate into Competitive restrictions or other penalties. Active behavior penalties can also affect Premier eligibility, so inspect the current client status before queuing.

Should I buy a VALORANT account with an At-Risk Alert?

Avoid treating an At-Risk Alert as a minor cosmetic detail. Check the live client, any active restrictions, access ownership, region and account security before making a decision. Rank and skins do not outweigh unclear account standing.
