Can You Transfer Fortnite Skins to Another Account?
Skins cannot move between Epic accounts. But cross-platform access, wrong console links and recent purchases create edge cases worth understanding before you change anything.
No, Fortnite skins cannot be transferred between Epic accounts.
Epic says cosmetics remain on the account where they were purchased, earned or claimed. Player Support cannot move them, and two Epic Games accounts cannot be merged. You can use the same locker across linked platforms when those platforms use the same Epic account. That is cross-progression, not a transfer.
Fortnite cosmetics are bound to the Epic account that obtained them
Item Shop purchases, Battle Pass rewards, promotional outfits, tournament cosmetics and gifts all follow the same destination rule. Once the item reaches an Epic account, it stays there. The locker is not a tradeable inventory that can be split across accounts.
Two Fortnite lockers cannot be merged into one
Epic states that there is no way to merge two Epic Games accounts. Player Support cannot combine them. V-Bucks, Epic Games Store purchases, cosmetics, in-game items and friends lists cannot be moved from Account A into Account B.
Skins on separate Epic accounts remain separated.
You cannot isolate a valuable cosmetic and transfer it.
Epic Support cannot process merge requests.
The same locker can appear on several platforms
PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo and supported mobile access can show the same cosmetics when they connect to the same Epic Games account. The locker follows the Epic account behind those platform links.
Nothing moved to a second Epic account. You simply opened the same account through another platform. This is why the Epic account identity matters more than the console username visible on the start screen.
Missing skins often mean the wrong Epic account is active
If your level resets, your locker looks empty or a console shows different progress, do not immediately assume the items were deleted. The platform may be linked to a different Epic account than the one that owns your main progress.
Signing into the correct Epic account can restore the expected locker view.
Relinking may point the platform back to the account that already owns the skins.
The cosmetic genuinely belongs to a different Epic account and cannot move.
Record display names, IDs and linked platforms first.
Relinking restores access, it does not transfer cosmetics
When a console is connected to the wrong Epic account, relinking can help the console access the Epic account that already contains the correct progress. The skins never leave their original Epic account.
Epic warns that unlinking can remove platform access to the skins and progress stored on the connected Epic account. A linking restriction may also limit which console account can be attached. Current guidance says another restriction removal for the same platform may require a 365-day wait.
A wrong-account purchase may be refundable, not transferable
Epic’s transfer guidance offers one narrow practical path. If the cosmetic was purchased recently, remains eligible and is still available, you may be able to cancel or return it and then buy it separately on the correct account.
Cancel Purchase can apply within 24 hours when the item has not been equipped or used. Return Tickets can cover eligible purchases from the last 30 days. The original item is removed and V-Bucks return. Nothing moves directly between accounts.
Gifting does not move a skin already in your locker
Fortnite Gifting purchases an eligible current Shop item for another player. Epic says an owned cosmetic inside your locker cannot be gifted or traded. Gifting therefore helps before purchase, not after the skin already belongs to your account.
Send an eligible current Shop item under the current Gifting rules.
Your existing locker item cannot become the gift.
V-Bucks cannot be gifted as normal cosmetic content.
