Quick answer

As of July 11, 2026, Ubisoft says the R6 Marketplace remains closed while security and economy foundations are rebuilt. Clearance Level 25, recent XP, 2-Step Verification and clean account standing are still useful historical or future-reopening checks, but none of them grants live Marketplace access today.

Current status

Marketplace is closed right now

Ubisoft’s June 30, 2026 economy update says Marketplace will remain closed while the team rebuilds security monitoring, account protection and the wider trading foundations. There is no current reopening date in that announcement.

Do not confuse eligibility with availabilityLevel 25 and 2FA describe the earlier access checklist. They cannot override a global Marketplace closure, and a seller should never promise live trading access based on those two screenshots alone.
Why it matters

Why Marketplace access is more than a login

Opening Siege and owning cosmetics never automatically meant an account was Marketplace-ready. When the service is available, Ubisoft applies access checks before an account can use Marketplace features.

That still matters for buyers and sellers planning ahead. Treat the historical checklist as a way to verify account maturity, security and activity—not as proof that trading is available today.

Level 25

Clearance Level 25 check

Ubisoft previously listed Clearance Level 25 as a Marketplace requirement. A low-level account may still own items, but Level 25 should be treated as a future-reopening check while the service remains closed.

For buyers, this is one of the easiest checks. If the account level is too low, the listing should not be priced like a fully eligible trading account.

Recent XP

Why recent XP can matter

The historical eligibility flow could ask for recent XP, meaning an older or inactive account might need actual play activity before its status updates. Ubisoft has not announced a new reopening verification flow.

If a seller claims the account is Marketplace-ready but cannot show recent account activity or access, take that claim carefully.

2FA

2-Step Verification should be clean

2-Step Verification protects the Ubisoft account and was part of the historical Marketplace access conversation. It should be set up in a way the real owner controls, not trapped on an old phone, unknown email or previous seller's authenticator.

For account safety, 2FA is not a detail to skip. A buyer should know whether they can secure the account after delivery.

Sanctions

Check account standing and restrictions

Sanctions or account restrictions can affect trust and access. Even if inventory looks good, a restricted account is harder to value.

A clean listing should not hide bans, sanctions, recovery issues or unusual security prompts.

Security changes

Be careful after email or password changes

Marketplace actions may be affected by account security changes. If the account was just modified, give the system time instead of repeatedly changing email, password and 2FA.

For buyers, this is also why immediate post-purchase securing should be calm and documented. Rushing every setting at once can make later troubleshooting harder.

Proof Checklist

What a seller should be able to prove

A serious R6 Marketplace-related listing should prove more than skins. The seller should be able to show account level, current inventory, access context, platform, region and whether the account can be secured properly after delivery. If any of those basics are unclear, the buyer should slow down.

This is especially important for high-skin accounts. A valuable inventory is only useful if the account itself is stable. Marketplace access, 2-Step Verification control and clean ownership details help separate a strong listing from a risky one.

Buyer rule Do not let a rare cosmetic distract from missing access proof. Account quality comes before inventory hype.

If the account is meant to be used immediately, also check whether the buyer can log in, change security details carefully, and keep access stable after delivery. Future eligibility is strongest when it sits next to clean ownership and calm post-purchase securing; do not market it as live Marketplace access while Ubisoft says the service remains closed.

Ready to build your next R6 account?

Focus on account quality before cosmetics: choose a ready R6 account with clean access details, or build one around the platform and region you need.

FAQ

Quick questions

What level do you need for R6 Marketplace?

Ubisoft previously listed Clearance Level 25 as a requirement, but the Marketplace is currently closed and Level 25 does not grant access today.

Do you need 2FA for R6 Marketplace?

2-Step Verification was part of the access and security setup. Keep it under the real owner’s control, but it cannot reopen the currently closed service.

Why does recent XP matter?

Recent XP was used to verify account activity in the historical eligibility flow. Ubisoft has not announced a new reopening date or process.

Should I buy an R6 account if Marketplace access is unclear?

Be careful. The Marketplace is currently closed, so judge the inventory, security and account standing separately instead of paying for promised live access.
