Released July 14, 2026, VALORANT Patch 13.01 increases the Outlaw's recovery, spread and recoil after its first shot. Iso equips his weapon immediately after Double Tap, Yoru gets a 20-second Gatecrash window and a more convincing Fakeout weapon. Riot also strengthens rank manipulation detection and begins new Discord party tools on PC.
The four changes that matter first
VALORANT Patch 13.01 is smaller than the Act-opening Patch 13.00, but its changes are easy to feel. The balance work rewards more deliberate Outlaw timing, removes friction from Iso's activation and gives Yoru more room to sell a rotation. The enforcement update is the most important long-term change for Competitive integrity.
The first shot remains the anchor. Rushed second shots carry more spread, recoil and recovery.
Double Tap no longer leaves the same weapon equip delay after activation.
Gatecrash stays active five seconds longer and Fakeout reveals less weapon information.

Iso and Yoru receive focused quality buffs
Neither change rewrites an agent's identity. Both remove small points of friction that could make a planned play feel slower or less believable than intended.
Iso can return to his gun immediately after unequipping Double Tap. That makes pre-fight activation cleaner and reduces the window where a well-timed peek catches him waiting on the weapon.
The extra five seconds creates a wider timing window for fakes, late rotations and delayed site hits. Fakeout now copies the last equipped weapon instead of always showing Yoru's strongest weapon, which leaks less information.

Riot did not remove the Outlaw's first-shot threat. The nerf specifically adds instability after the first trigger pull, so a player who instantly forces the second shot should get a less consistent result than a player who resets before firing again.

Rank manipulation detection and penalties get stronger
Riot says its improved detection targets deliberate behavior such as boosting, win trading and stream sniping. Confirmed cases can now create consequences beyond a temporary suspension, including rank or MMR reversions and the removal of Ranked rewards tied to manipulated results. Repeated, severe abuse can lead to a permanent ban.

Riot lists fixes across more than a dozen agent interactions, two maps and a high-framerate network graph issue. The largest practical groups are below; the official notes remain the source of truth for the complete line-by-line list.

On PC, Riot and Discord are testing a tighter social flow. The beta supports party invitations from Discord, shareable lobby links and visibility for Discord friends who also play VALORANT. Riot began with Brazil and scheduled the broader rollout for July 21, 2026.
