VALORANT Inbox 2026: RR Refunds and Notifications
Know which client messages matter, how an RR refund is claimed and why a duplicate alert never means you received an extra refund.
What is the VALORANT Inbox?
The Inbox is a place in the client for curated, non-urgent notifications. At launch it covered gift updates, Premier messages, RR refunds, report feedback and Act information. You can see new or read status and delete individual messages when you are done with them.
What the VALORANT Inbox is for
Riot introduced Inbox in Patch 13.00 as a place to revisit curated, non-urgent client notifications. It is not a replacement for urgent support or account-security actions. It is a cleaner way to look back at messages that still matter after the first popup is gone.
The useful habits are simple: review a message, act on it if it needs an action, then delete it if you do not need it anymore. Riot says Inbox shows which messages are new or read and allows individual items to be removed for a tidier view.
Use the new state to spot messages that have not been checked yet.
Keep the important context, then decide whether the message still needs to stay.
Riot says individual Inbox items can be removed when they are no longer useful.
Which messages appear in the VALORANT Inbox
Patch 13.00 listed five message categories at launch. Riot also said it expects to expand Inbox over time, so treat this as the confirmed starting set rather than a permanent limit.
What a VALORANT RR refund actually means
Riot’s ranked rollback system can make you eligible for an RR refund if you lost RR in the last week after playing against a confirmed cheater. It is a correction for a specific competitive loss, not a bonus you can request because a match felt unfair.
Riot’s Patch 10.05 notes also say the system is limited to the current Act and has an Act cap. Patch 10.10 later increased the cap for players below Radiant, but the safest approach is still to claim any eligible refund before the current Act ends.
How to claim an eligible RR refund
Riot’s ranked rollback instructions are specific: after the client tells you the exact RR amount, complete one Competitive match to apply the refund. The refunded RR is then reflected in that match’s End of Game summary whether you win or lose.
Confirm the notification shows an eligible amount rather than assuming every ranked alert is a refund.
Riot says this match is required to apply an eligible refund.
The refunded RR is reflected after that match, regardless of the result.
Riot says ranked rollbacks are valid only within the current Act and have a cap.
Choose the setup you want to return to.
See rank, region and collection before you pick.

Why you may see two RR refund notifications
Riot identified a known issue in Patch 13.00: in some situations, an RR refund can be shown both in Inbox and in a modal popup. Seeing both messages does not mean you receive the refund twice.
Use the amount shown in the legitimate client message and your End of Game summary after the required Competitive match. Do not make account, payment or rank decisions based on a duplicated visual alert alone.
Gift, Premier and report feedback messages
Inbox also holds context that is useful but not urgent. Gift updates tell a sender whether a gift was accepted or rejected. Premier messages cover promotion and playoff status. Report feedback can include a thank-you message after you report behavior.
A report-feedback message is not a live case file and it does not reveal every enforcement result. Its point is to confirm that the feedback system is communicating with you without filling every client session with popups.
Use it to confirm the outcome of a gift you sent through the official client flow.
Keep promotion and playoff qualification information easy to revisit.
Review report feedback without expecting private enforcement details.
VALORANT Inbox and RR refund checklist
Review the message type before assuming an alert has an action attached to it.
Complete the required Competitive match during the current Act.
Inbox plus a popup does not create a second refund.
Inbox, RR refunds and gift status never require you to share a password or MFA code.
