Patch 13.00 live pool

Current VALORANT Ranked maps

There is no map ban in standard Competitive matchmaking. That means the useful goal is not mastering everything at once. It is having one default attack idea, two defensive anchors and a comfortable agent option for every active map.

Structured defaultAscent

Mid control and disciplined utility create reliable site pressure.

Long sightlinesBreeze

Information, range and smoke coverage shape the first fights.

Three sitesHaven

Fast information and rotation discipline matter across three sites.

Flexible routesLotus

Three sites and movable routes reward early space and calm retakes.

Compact pressureSplit

Mid ownership, vertical angles and coordinated utility define clean rounds.

New in 13.00Summit

Droppable walls mean information can change a route mid round.

ReturnedSunset

Mid fights and B Main control create early decision pressure.

Know what changed

Which VALORANT maps entered and left Ranked

The rotation matters because old lineups and saved plans can become a distraction. Keep useful fundamentals, but do not train the previous pool while the live queue is asking a different set of questions.

Entered Competitive in Patch 13.00Summit and Sunset

Summit arrived as the new Act 4 map. Sunset returned to the Competitive and Deathmatch rotation.

Left Competitive in Patch 13.00Fracture and Pearl

Both left the Competitive and Deathmatch queues. Keep notes, but stop treating them as current ranked practice.

Earlier rotation context: Patch 12.08 put Ascent in and removed Bind. The newest patch notes and live client remain the final answer after another rotation.
New map priority

How to prepare for Summit in VALORANT Ranked

Riot describes Summit as a two site, three lane map with droppable walls that reshape the battlefield during a round. The useful preparation is not memorising every corner. It is building a simple information routine that updates when a route changes.

Walk the wall states in Custom Game

Learn what changes before and after a wall drops so a familiar route does not become a surprise angle.

Assign the first information tool

Decide who checks the contested lane before the team commits to a fixed attack plan.

Keep one retake call simple

Pick one regroup point, one smoke or flash timing and one player who watches the flank.

A smaller plan survives the rotation

A simple playbook for all seven Ranked maps

You do not need a giant folder of specialist lineups to become map ready. For each active map, prepare a small default that survives imperfect teammate communication.

Attack defaultOwn one safe piece of space

Use a drone, recon, flash or smoke to establish one controllable lane before the team runs into several angles.

Defense defaultKnow two anchor positions

Choose one standard hold and one fallback that keeps you useful when the attack shows pressure.

Retake defaultRegroup before hero plays

Use one cue to reenter together. A late isolated duel rarely fixes a lost site.

Match the kit to the map shape

Adjust your agents to the current VALORANT maps

A tier list is a starting point. Map shape tells you what kind of utility receives value. Pick the missing job, then use the agent you can execute under pressure.

Wide mapsBreeze and Haven

Prioritise reliable information, long range utility and smokes that cover large sightlines.

Compact pressureSplit and Sunset

Flashes, choke control and fast mid decisions often create the first advantage.

Flexible routesLotus and Summit

Use information and utility that remain useful after a route or rotation changes.

Policy note: Riot's Terms prohibit sharing, selling or transferring accounts. Better map preparation does not change ownership risk or platform rules.
FAQ

VALORANT Ranked map pool FAQ

What is the current VALORANT Ranked map pool in 2026?

The current VALORANT Competitive map pool for Patch 13.00 is Ascent, Breeze, Haven, Lotus, Split, Summit and Sunset. Riot added Summit and Sunset while removing Fracture and Pearl.

Which maps entered VALORANT Ranked in Patch 13.00?

Summit and Sunset entered the Competitive and Deathmatch queues in Patch 13.00. Summit is the new map introduced for Act 4, while Sunset returned to the rotation.

Which maps left the VALORANT Competitive rotation?

Fracture and Pearl left the Competitive and Deathmatch queues in Patch 13.00. They can return in a later rotation, so players should not delete every old setup permanently.

Is Bind in the VALORANT Ranked map pool?

Bind is not in the current Patch 13.00 Competitive map pool. Patch 12.08 brought Ascent into Competitive and removed Bind before the later Patch 13.00 rotation.

Is Summit available in VALORANT Ranked?

Yes. Riot added Summit to the Competitive queue with Patch 13.00. It is a two site, three lane map with droppable walls that can change the battlefield during a round.

Can players ban maps in VALORANT Ranked?

Standard VALORANT Competitive matchmaking does not currently give players a map ban phase. The queue assigns the map, so a reliable climb requires basic preparation for all seven maps in the active pool.

Are all VALORANT maps available outside Competitive?

Riot moved several noncompetitive queues to an open map pool in Patch 8.11, and Custom Games provide broad map access. Queue availability can still change, so check the live client when you want to practice a map outside Competitive.

How often does the VALORANT Ranked map pool rotate?

Riot does not promise one permanent interval for every rotation. Map changes are announced through patch notes, often around larger act or season updates. Use the newest official patch notes and the live client as the final check.
