Why is crypto cheaper than Mastercard?
A card payment adds a fee of about 10% to your price (the provider's fee for cards). Paying with crypto adds 0% for you. Mastercard is also limited to €534 per payment and to the EU, crypto is not.
Which coin is the easiest?
Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin are the easiest to buy: almost every exchange and app sells them. Litecoin and USDT on TRON are the easiest to send, because the network fees are low.
Do I need an exchange account?
You need crypto in a wallet or exchange that you control. An exchange is the cheapest place to buy it, and wallet apps such as Exodus or Trust Wallet let you buy and hold it in one app. ALVIRAN does not sell crypto and is not affiliated with any of them.
Can I buy crypto without verifying my identity?
Peer-to-peer markets such as Bisq, RoboSats or Hodl Hodl let you trade directly with other people, and they do not ask for ID themselves. Prices are usually a little worse and there are fewer offers, so they suit smaller amounts. Rules differ by country.
Is paying with crypto safe?
You never type card or bank details at ALVIRAN: the payment runs on a secure payment page that shows the address, the amount and the network. Crypto transfers cannot be reversed, so check those three before you press send. If anything is unclear, account support helps.
Can I spend crypto in normal shops too?
Yes, with a crypto card: a Visa or Mastercard debit card linked to your crypto. You load it with crypto, it is converted to euros when you pay, and the shop sees a normal card payment. Several exchanges and apps offer them, with their own fees and verification.
