R6 Iana Guide: Use Gemini Intel Without Wasting Time
Gemini is useful when the information arrives in time to change the next move. A long tour of the map can leave your team waiting while the information becomes stale.

Ask one question before activating Gemini
Pick the next decision: can the team cross this doorway, where is the defender holding, or which side of the room needs attention? That gives the hologram a short route and a stopping point. Activating without a question often creates movement without usable information.
Ubisoft describes Gemini as remotely controlled, time limited and subject to a cooldown that is longer if it is destroyed. Do not treat it as a permanent camera. Your real operator needs a safe starting position while you control the hologram.

Turn a sighting into a usable call
A good call includes the location, relevant cover and likely next action. “Someone there” is less useful than a short description of the angle the team is about to cross. Say when the observation was made so teammates do not treat an old position as current.
A conceptual sequence is: inspect the near corner, see a defender behind cover, tell the entry player which side is occupied, then return to the real operator. If the team is not ready to use the finding, coordinate first rather than scouting the same room repeatedly.
What the hologram can and cannot prove
Treat a sighting as information about a moment, not a guarantee about the whole room. Use this distinction to avoid the common “Gemini saw nobody, so the room is safe” mistake.
| Observation | Useful conclusion | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Defender seen at cover | Prioritize that angle now | The defender can move |
| Gemini destroyed from a direction | Investigate the likely threat direction | The exact position may remain uncertain |
| No defender on the inspected path | That path was clear at that moment | Unseen corners and later movement remain possible |
| Team not ready to enter | Coordinate timing before acting | Information loses value with delay |

A simple practice routine
Choose one room and one decision. Have a teammate hold or change position while you inspect. Limit yourself to a short call, then review whether the next player could act on it. This is a practice suggestion, not a claim of a measured win-rate improvement.
For loadout decisions, consult the current game menu. This guide intentionally avoids copying outdated secondary-gadget lists or promising one attachment setup for everyone. The main skill being trained is converting a small amount of timely information into a coordinated move.
Frequently asked questions
Can Gemini shoot or use secondary gadgets?
No. Ubisoft describes it as a scouting hologram that cannot shoot, melee or use secondary gadgets.
Does an empty Gemini check guarantee a safe room?
No. It describes only the inspected area and moment. Unseen angles and enemy movement remain relevant.
