Rainbow Six Siege turned 10 in Year 10 — and Year 11 is the biggest content roadmap Ubisoft has announced in years. At the Six Invitational in Paris on February 15, 2026, Creative Director Joshua Mills unveiled all four seasons: a Metal Gear Solid crossover, Ranked 3.0, a brand-new Las Vegas map, Operator Mastery, mouse and keyboard on consoles, and much more.

Here’s everything confirmed, season by season — sourced directly from Ubisoft’s official announcements.

Season 1 — Operation Silent Hunt

Live since March 3, 2026. The biggest crossover in R6 Siege history — and meaningful gameplay changes across the board.

Solid Snake

Gadget: Soliton Radar MKIII Primary: F2 / PMR90A2 Secondary: Tacit .45 (suppressed) OSP Pouch: in-round gadget selection

The Metal Gear Solid legend joins Siege as a permanent operator — voiced by David Hayter in his iconic role. Snake’s Soliton Radar MKIII detects nearby enemy positions in real time, giving his team live intel without drones. His OSP Pouch lets him select a gadget mid-round from a pool including breaching charges, grenades, flashes, smokes, and EMP grenades — adding significant flexibility to attack setups. His suppressed Tacit .45 pistol rounds out a kit built for quiet, information-driven play.

Metal Gear Solid Crossover Event — Limited 4v4 Infiltration Mode on a modified Nighthaven Labs map. Snake and Zero lead teams to recover stolen data. Exclusive cosmetics included: Jackal as Gray Fox, Ash as Meryl.
1v1 Arcade Playlist (April 16–30, 2026) — Official matchmaking 1v1 mode popularised by community tournaments. Short high-intensity rounds based on Bomb ruleset and solo gunplay. The jynxzi 1v1 format goes official.
New Balance Cadence — Starting Y11, each season now has 4 updates released every 3 weeks, alternating between major and minor balance patches. Season 1 focuses on entry-fragging and roaming roles.
Two-Phase Ranked Map Rotation — The map pool now changes mid-season. Phase 1 launched March 3 with Kanal, Skyscraper, Theme Park, and Outback removed. This raises adaptation pressure significantly for ranked players.
Modernised Maps — Coastline, Villa, and Oregon receive updated graphics, lighting, and new destructible elements. Three maps are being modernised every season throughout Y11.
Dual Front — Final Season — The mixed operator mode is ending in Season 2. Season 1 includes a final assignment (Malware Containment) with exclusive rewards. Hop in before it’s gone.
Why Solid Snake matters for account value

Solid Snake comes with a full set of limited crossover cosmetics — Jackal as Gray Fox, Ash as Meryl, and exclusive MGS-themed skins tied to the event. Accounts active during the Season 1 event window that collected these cosmetics will carry rare, non-returnable items. Just like early Black Ice accounts, Season 1 crossover cosmetics are time-locked.

Season 2 — The Ranked 3.0 Overhaul

The most significant competitive system update since Ranked 2.0 — plus a new map, a reworked operator, and consoles finally getting mouse and keyboard support.

Ranked 3.0 — Hidden MMR is gone. Ranks will be displayed based on actual player skill, not a concealed rating. Placement matches return at the start of each season. This is the overhaul the community has asked for since the Ranked 2.0 introduction.
Calypso Casino — A brand-new map paying homage to Rainbow Six Siege’s Vegas-era history. Designed to current competitive standards, it will be available in Ranked from launch.
Dokkaebi Rework — The South Korean attacker is getting a significant overhaul. Her mass-call ability that targeted all defenders simultaneously is being replaced with a new gadget targeting individual players. She also receives a new primary weapon.
Mouse & Keyboard on Console — Xbox and PlayStation players can now use M&K with official support. Matchmaking puts M&K console players with PC players — input-based matchmaking, not platform-based.
Rotating Operator Trials — Players can now test operators they don’t own on a rotating basis, making it easier to evaluate operators before purchasing.
In-Game Esports Tab — Live Tier 1 team rosters, player stats, and tournament tracking available directly inside Siege.
Dual Front removed — The mixed-operator mode is permanently shut down in Season 2. All attention refocuses on core 5v5 gameplay.

Season 3 — Operator Mastery & Legend Division

A new defender, a long-term progression system that changes how every operator is played, and a new solo-queue competitive playlist for the top of the ladder.

New Defender — codenamed FIREWORKS — A powerful counter-shield operator. Based on the teaser, the operator can fire a projectile that pierces through enemy shields — a direct counter to the shield meta.
Operator Mastery — A new long-term progression system that lets you level every single operator individually. Earn unique rewards for mastery with each operator, creating a new layer of progression beyond rank.
Legend Division — A new solo-queue only competitive playlist for the best players. Arriving mid-season in Y11S3 onwards. Designed to give top-ranked players a true skill-based environment without duo influence.
3v3 Arcade Mode — A new limited-time 3v3 format available for 2 weeks, expanding Siege’s arcade offerings alongside the 1v1 mode from Season 1.

Season 4 — Social HUB & Hostage Rework

Full details TBA — but Ubisoft has confirmed two major additions for late 2026.

Social HUB — A new in-game social space where players can interact with friends, send invites, and manage their squad across platforms. Cross-platform social features built into Siege itself.
Hostage Rework — The classic game mode receives a full rework to fit Siege’s current tactical DNA and competitive standards. Details will be revealed closer to the season.
Larceny Classic Event returns — The fan-favourite event with enhanced destructibility in the modified Hereford Base map comes back for Season 4.

Year 11-Wide Changes

These changes apply across all of Year 11, not just a single season.

R6 ShieldGuard Secure Platform — A new kernel-level anti-cheat secure boot layer for PC, rolling out across Year 11. Strengthens competitive integrity where it matters most.
3 modernised maps per season — Every season throughout Y11 updates three maps with improved graphics, lighting, and destructibility. S1: Coastline, Villa, Oregon. S2–S4: TBA.
Rainbow Six Mobile launched globally — February 23, 2026. Available on iOS and Android with 20+ operators, Bomb, Team Deathmatch, Ranked, and Quick Play modes.
Improved toxicity reporting — 16 report categories (up from 4), better context awareness, and updated feedback systems. Abandon penalties now apply to full squads when a disconnect causes a match cancellation.
New Creative Director — Joshua Mills takes over from Alexander Karpazis. Y11 is the first full year under his creative direction, with a stated focus on returning to core 5v5 Siege fundamentals.

Bottom Line

Year 11 is the most ambitious Siege roadmap since Year 6. The Solid Snake crossover, Ranked 3.0, Operator Mastery, and the Legend Division all point to a team focused on long-term competitive health rather than just content volume. If you’ve been away from Siege for a while, Y11 is a strong reason to return.
