Fortnite Account Linking Error: Previously Linked
Before changing a connection, identify the account that owns your purchases. A new link does not move those purchases.

Map the accounts before troubleshooting
Record the Epic account ID, the platform username and the account containing the receipts or cosmetics you need. Then inspect the connected-account settings through Epic. Keep this record before making any change.
If signing in through a console opens a different Epic profile than signing in by email, stop and resolve the account identity first. An empty new profile can look like lost progress when you are simply viewing a different account.
Connection and linking restriction are not identical
An account already connected elsewhere may need the existing connection resolved through the official settings. A restriction against a different account of the same platform type is a separate rule. Read the exact error rather than treating both as an incorrect password.
Epic says its linking-restriction removal can be used once per 365 days. It is not an unlimited way to rotate accounts. If your situation involves an active Crew subscription, follow Epic’s cancellation instructions before unlinking where required.
Take the smallest justified action
Use the official recovery or restriction-removal instructions for the identified issue. Confirm where your progress remains before disconnecting anything. Do not try several accounts at random; that destroys the useful record of which connection caused the error.
If you cannot identify the original owning account, contact Epic Support with the platform username and relevant receipts. Never share recovery codes with a person offering to bypass a restriction. Neither a third-party store nor a linking tool can combine two Epic inventories.
