How this Fortnite Battle Pass skin list works
Season 1 had no Battle Pass. Epic's Season 2 post from 14 December 2017 says the Season Store was retiring with the release of the Battle Pass in update v1.11. Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper came from that Season Store, not from a pass.
For Chapter 1 Season 2 to Chapter 4 Season 1, the outfit lists come from the game files. Fortnite tags every paid Battle Pass outfit with its season (for example Cosmetics.Source.Season2.BattlePass.Paid on Black Knight), and fortnite-api.com mirrors those tags. Names are shown as the game files store them. From Chapter 3 onward we checked every list against Epic's own season posts, and Epic's wording decides where the two differ.
Outfits added through Battle Pass quests later in a season are not always tagged in the game files. We list them where an Epic post confirms them, such as Deadpool, Aquaman, Wolverine and The Foundation. "(with purchase)" marks the outfit Epic says unlocks the moment you buy the pass, "(later)" one that unlocked later in the season.

Season 3 raised the pass to 100 tiers, 30 more than Season 2, and Epic's Season 5 post gives the price: 950 V-Bucks for over 100 rewards. Black Knight, Sparkle Specialist, Omega and Ragnarok are the names most people mean by "OG Battle Pass skins". Our OG account guide explains how far an account can be judged by them.

Chapter 2 Season 1 was extended into early February 2020. Epic then extended Season 2 more than once, past its original 30 April end, so it ran until 17 June 2020. The Season 5 row shows only the five tagged outfits. Quest outfits from that pass carry no tag in the files, and we found no Epic post listing them, so they are left out.

Chapter 4 Season OG used an OG Pass instead of a normal Battle Pass. It cost 950 V-Bucks, ran until 2 December 2023, and its four outfits are mash-ups of Chapter 1 skins: Omegarok comes from Omega and Ragnarok, Renegade Lynx from Renegade Raider and Lynx.

The price changed in this stretch: Epic's Chapter 5 posts say 950 V-Bucks with up to 1,500 back, and from Chapter 6 Season 1 the pass cost 1,000 V-Bucks. In Chapter 6 Season 4 Epic also made UNSC Spartan free from 26 August 2025 for players without the pass who reached level 100. For the Springfield pass, Epic's post names those five outfits as "including", so it may not be the complete list.

Pacific Break was first set to end on 5 March 2026; Epic's pass page later showed 19 March. From Showdown on, the pass costs 800 V-Bucks or comes with Fortnite Crew, and you can earn up to 800 V-Bucks back, enough for the next pass.
On the Override pass page, Epic lists these eight outfits and an end date of 1 November 2026, Eastern Time. Buying before 27 August gave the Infiltrator Grace Crowne style as a launch-week bonus. Gifting the pass gives both players the Peril Peak Mali outfit.
Do Fortnite Battle Pass skins return to the Item Shop?
It depends on which pass the skin came from. On 7 August 2024 Epic announced that items in future Battle Passes might be offered in the Shop "after 18 or more months" from the pass's expiration. Its support page says this applies starting with Chapter 5 Season 4, and that there is no guarantee an item will return. Read our Battle Pass return rule explainer for the full wording.

Epic's FAQ also covers quest items: outfits from the Bonus Rewards and Quest Rewards tabs, like Doom or Godzilla Evolved, fall under the same 18-month rule. No pass can be bought after its season has ended, and Epic support says it cannot grant access to old passes.
How to check an account for old Battle Pass skins
Match the outfit to its season
Use the tables above. A Season 2 Black Knight or a Season X Ultima Knight can only be on an account that had the pass in that season.
Look for the right styles
Many pass outfits had extra styles from challenges, such as the gold styles on Chapter 2 Season 2 agents. Epic's help centre says outfit styles from previous seasons can no longer be unlocked.
Separate pass skins from Shop returns
From Chapter 5 Season 4 on, the same outfit can come from the pass or a later Shop rotation, so a recent pass skin proves less than a Chapter 1 one.

Will Black Knight come back to the Item Shop?
Epic's 18-month return rule only covers passes from Chapter 5 Season 4 onward. Black Knight is from Chapter 1 Season 2, and Epic has not announced any return for it.
Which Battle Pass skins can come back?
Items from Chapter 5 Season 4 (Absolute Doom) and later passes may be sold in the Item Shop at least 18 months after the pass expires. Epic says there is no guarantee.
