Fortnite Locker Presets: Save and Manage Your Loadouts
A saved Locker setup should make switching easier. Give it a clear name, verify what was saved and avoid rebuilding the same combination every session.

Save one recognizable setup
Choose the character items you want, then follow the Save Character flow. The exact label can be localized in your game. Confirm the saved result by reopening the entry rather than assuming that a menu click saved every category you had in mind.
Make the first test simple: one outfit and a combination you can easily recognize. After saving, switch away and return to it. Check what is restored. This is a practical verification routine, not a claim that every Locker category is bundled by the same command.
Name presets for how you will use them
Use names you can recognize weeks later. Outfit name plus purpose is often clearer than a row of numbers: for example “Knight — dark set” or “Summer — casual.” These are naming examples, not items that the game creates automatically.
If two entries differ only by one accessory, include that difference in the name. When updating an existing setup, decide whether you want a replacement or a second version before saving. That small decision prevents accidental clutter.
Missing gaps are not necessarily missing presets
Epic describes a change to indexless loadouts in v34.10: empty tiles no longer remain after a preset is deleted. A rearranged list therefore needs a different check from a genuinely absent saved setup.
Search by the recognizable name and items before concluding that a preset disappeared. A slot number from an old screenshot is not a stable identifier after a layout change.
| Observation | What to inspect |
|---|---|
| List moved after deletion | Look for preset names, not old slot numbers |
| Saved entry contains unexpected items | Reopen the entry and compare the saved category |
| Entire preset absent | Check whether it was saved or deleted |
| A cosmetic itself is absent | Use missing-item checks rather than preset organization |

Clean up without losing useful combinations
Review duplicates one at a time. Open the entry, compare it with the version you intend to keep, and only then use the available management action. A screenshot of the contents can help when reorganizing several similar sets.
Do not promise yourself a fixed slot limit based on an old guide. Use the current interface for available capacity. If saving fails, note the exact error, selected category and whether the problem affects one setup or every setup. That is more actionable than saying “my Locker is broken.”
Frequently asked questions
Does deleting a preset mean the cosmetic was deleted?
A preset is a saved arrangement. Check item ownership separately from the existence of that arrangement.
Why did old empty slots disappear?
Epic changed the layout to indexless loadouts in v34.10, removing empty tiles left by deleted presets.
