Renegade Raider OG Style vs Re-release: How to Tell
Renegade Raider ownership and original-owner style eligibility are different questions. A screenshot of the outfit alone does not establish that it was purchased in 2017.

Outfit ownership is not a purchase date
Renegade Raider returned through the OG Season Shop announced in December 2024. That is why an image of the base outfit is not enough to distinguish original ownership from a later purchase. A name in a cosmetic list answers “Is the item present?” rather than “When was it first bought?”
Avoid interpreting “OG” as one precise technical label. In casual descriptions it can refer to an old-looking outfit, an original purchase, an old account or a particular style. Ask which of those is actually being claimed before comparing screenshots.
Check the style, not only the thumbnail
Open the outfit in your own Locker and inspect its available style options. Compare the actual variant name and selection state. A thumbnail, cropped image or third-party inventory label is weaker evidence than the relevant entry in the game.
For a support question, keep the evidence specific: outfit name, style list and the Epic account concerned. If the outfit is present but a variant is absent, describe a style issue. If the entire outfit is absent, begin with the missing-item and account checks instead.
What each piece of evidence establishes
Use this distinction to avoid overstating what one screenshot shows. None of these entries establishes a market value or a total number of owners.
| Evidence | What it shows | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Base outfit visible | That version is shown in the captured view | Original purchase date |
| Black & Gold style available | The specific variant is available on that account | A universal price or rarity ranking |
| Old purchase record | The recorded purchase on the identified account | That every later screenshot shows the same account |
| Third-party label “OG” | Someone applied a label | Epic’s style eligibility |

If an eligible variant is missing
Epic says eligible original-owner variants are granted automatically on login. First confirm that you are using the account with the original purchase, then check the style entry after logging in. Keep any original purchase evidence available for official support.
Do not assume a fresh purchase will resolve an original-owner eligibility issue. This guide also does not claim the outfit is in today’s Item Shop: the 2024 announcement is historical evidence of a return, not a live shop listing.
Frequently asked questions
Does having Renegade Raider automatically mean original ownership?
No. The outfit was re-released, so base-outfit ownership alone does not establish a 2017 purchase.
Can this guide tell me a guaranteed current shop date?
No. Use the live shop and new official announcements for current availability.
