Only 15 League skins sit above Legendary: 7 Ultimate skins you can buy for RP, 5 Exalted skins from the Sanctum and 3 Transcendent skins from Hall of Legends. Here is every one with its date, its price route and what it does.

LoL Ultimate skins list: all 7, with release dates
The list is the set of skins Riot's client data puts in the Ultimate tier in patch 26.21. The feature lines are Riot's own, from the same data. Riot's patch notes from before 2019 are offline, so the five older dates come from the community-run League of Legends Wiki and are marked as such.

None of the seven is flagged Legacy in the client data, which fits Riot's Skins 101: the Ultimate tier is one of the store tiers you buy with RP. Gun Goddess Miss Fortune is the odd one out on price, launched below the usual 3,250 RP according to the wiki. K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine is the only Ultimate skin the client stores with upgrade tiers (Indie, Rising Star and Superstar), the same structure it uses for the Risen Legend skins.
No new Ultimate skin in over three years. Soul Fighter Samira (July 2023) is the latest. Every top-tier skin Riot has released since 2024 has been Exalted or Transcendent instead.
Exalted skins list: all 5 and when they were in the Sanctum
Exalted skins arrived with the Sanctum in patch 14.24. You cannot buy them directly: you buy Ancient Sparks for 400 RP each and pull on the Exalted banner. Riot's Exalted /dev post gives Arcane Fractured Jinx a 0.5 % base drop rate and guarantees it within 80 pulls, which it calls a maximum of about 32,000 RP. The Sanctum support page adds that Exalted progress carries over to the next Exalted banner, but not to the Mythic Variant banner.

Riot confirmed the five names itself when it updated icon rarities in patch 25.20, listing each skin's icon as Exalted. Viego is the most recent, and no new Exalted skin has appeared in the client data since. Two of the five have already come back for a second banner, so Riot's own track record says an Exalted skin is limited in time, not gone forever.
Transcendent skins list: the 3 Hall of Legends skins
Transcendent is Riot's collector's edition tier. Skins 101 says these skins are generally sold directly for RP, have only appeared as part of Hall of Legends, and are not planned to return or enter the reroll pool. Each year LoL Esports inducts one pro player, and the Transcendent skin is built with that player.

Each Transcendent skin exists in the client as one skin with two stages: Risen Legend and the upgraded Immortalized Legend. The Hall of Legends pass skins with similar names, Risen Legend LeBlanc, Risen Legend Vayne and Risen Legend Orianna, are a different thing. The client labels them Mythic, not Transcendent, so do not count them here.
Riot sells the Transcendent skins as RP collections during each event. Press coverage reported the 2026 Tristana collections from about 5,000 RP to almost 59,000 RP and the sales window closing on 20 October 2026; Riot's patch notes give the release date but not those prices, so treat them as reported figures.

Ultimate skins 2026: anything new coming?
As of 23 October 2026, Riot has not announced a new Ultimate skin, and no new Exalted or Transcendent skin either. The next patch is 26.22 on 4 November 2026, and press reports put the K/DA FIRESTARTER skins in it. Riot has released the music video and merchandise, but the skin tiers so far come only from test-server coverage and press reports, and those reports disagree with each other.
- Wait for the 26.22 patch notes before you trust any tier for the FIRESTARTER skins.
- A skin found in game files is not a confirmed release. Prestige Classic Baron Kog'Maw has sat in the client data since 26.20 without an announcement.
- Exalted banners run for a few patches at a time (Revenant Reign Viego ran from 26.2 to the end of 26.5), so a missed banner means waiting for a re-run that Riot may never schedule.

How to check top-tier skins on an account
Filter the collection by tier
In Collection, then Skins, the rarity gem on each card shows the skin's tier. Owned skins show in full colour.
Separate store skins from limited ones
All 7 Ultimate skins can still be bought. The 5 Exalted and 3 Transcendent skins could only be had in their windows.
Check the upgrade stage
Risen Legend skins can show the Immortalized Legend stage, and K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine shows which forms are unlocked.
Read the banner history
An Arcane Fractured Jinx came from December 2024 or the 25.23 re-run. A Revenant Reign Viego came from patches 26.2 to 26.5.
If you want the cheapest route to a big skin, an Ultimate skin is a single store purchase. If you want something the store cannot sell you today, the Exalted and Transcendent skins are where the limited ones are.

Do Exalted skins come back?
Some have. Arcane Fractured Jinx returned in patches 25.23 to 25.24 and Sahn-Uzal Mordekaiser in 26.13 to 26.17. Riot gives no schedule for the others.
Are Exalted skins better than Ultimate skins?
They sit higher. Exalted and Transcendent are the two tiers above the Ultimate tier, and the community wiki describes both as including everything an Ultimate skin has, plus more forms or event content.
