R6 Reputation: Standings, Penalties and How to Improve
A Reputation Standing describes conduct, not your Ranked skill. To improve it, first identify the negative action the game reports instead of guessing how many matches will reset it.

Standing, rank and sanction are different
Do not confuse Renown currency, Ranked progression and Reputation. They answer different questions: what you can spend, where you compete, and how your conduct is assessed. A change in one does not automatically explain a change in another.
Ubisoft reported the Reputation System’s full rollout in Y10S1. Its Year 11 protection update describes further moderation and reporting improvements. Older beta-era advice is therefore not a reliable description of every current consequence. Read the actual notice on your account before relying on an old discussion.

Start with the negative action
Record the category, time and any accompanying warning. Distinguish a standing change from a timed restriction or an account sanction. If the notice concerns communication, address communication; changing operators or winning more rounds does not answer that issue.
A useful routine is to make calls about the round rather than the player: location, action and timing. If the conversation becomes hostile, stop the argument and use available mute or reporting tools. Muting others does not retroactively remove your own messages.
A response plan for common situations
These are behavior recommendations, not a hidden scoring formula. The aim is to stop creating further negative actions and make a genuine error easier to review.
| Situation | Useful response | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Communication warning | Use short factual calls and inspect the notice | Arguing about the warning in chat |
| Repeated disconnections | Resolve connection problems before another competitive session | Repeatedly queueing with the same unresolved failure |
| Apparent incorrect detection | Keep the notice and use available feedback or official support | Inventing a guaranteed instant reset |
| Standing lower than expected | Review conduct categories over time | Treating one good match as a fixed entitlement |

If you think a flag is wrong
Describe the event precisely: what the notice says, when it appeared, what happened in the match and whether there was a technical interruption. Keep evidence relevant to that event. A list of wins or a claim that teammates were worse does not establish a moderation error.
Use a feedback option offered by the current interface, or the official support route if needed. Do not promise yourself a deadline the publisher has not given. Continue playing within the rules while the issue is reviewed; repeated retaliation only creates new problems.
