All Tom Clancy games in order of release

The list covers every Tom Clancy-branded game in the four main series plus the H.A.W.X and EndWar spin-offs, from the first Red Storm release to 2026. Dates are the first launch on any platform where Ubisoft states it; for older games that Ubisoft no longer sells, we give the year only. Expansions, handheld spin-offs and DLC are left out.

Where the dates come from. Splinter Cell's launch date is from Ubisoft's 20th anniversary article, the 2026 dates from Ubisoft's launch posts, and the other exact dates from Ubisoft Store product pages. Ubisoft's store lists the PC date for some older games (Splinter Cell on PC: 18 February 2003), so a few console-first games show the year only. Rogue Spear, Ghost Recon 2, both Advanced Warfighter games and both H.A.W.X games are no longer on sale on PC.

Ubisoft says Red Storm, founded in 1996, made the first Rainbow Six, and that Red Storm and the Tom Clancy brand joined Ubisoft in 2000, making Tom Clancy the company's first major franchise. Before Red Storm there was Tom Clancy's SSN, a mid-1990s submarine game from other publishers, which we leave out.

Rainbow Six Mobile launched worldwide on 23 February 2026, and on 8 October 2026 Ubisoft said it will remain available until 15 January 2027. Rainbow Six Tactics, revealed on 25 August 2026, is a single-player turn-based game from Ubisoft Paris with 15 Siege operators, coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; Steam lists it for 2027.

Ghost Recon games in order

Ghost Recon turned 25 in 2026. Ubisoft marked it on 6 August 2026 with a free Wildlands update called Last Rites and the opening of a Ghost Recon Insider Program to "help build the next Ghost Recon".

The Division games in order and The Division 3 status

Massive's project page says it was announced in 2023 that Massive is leading development of The Division 3, and that the studio "cannot unveil any details" yet while it hires for the project. Ubisoft has not shown the game or given a year. Any 2027, 2028 or later window you see is a leak or an analyst estimate.

The Division 2 is where the series lives in 2026. Echoes of Central Park, a paid expansion that needs the base game, is listed on Ubisoft's Coming soon page and on Steam for 3 November 2026. Resurgence launched on iOS and Android on 31 March 2026 and is free to play.

Who makes Tom Clancy games in 2026

Ubisoft's January 2026 reorganisation split the Tom Clancy brands across two of its five Creative Houses. Since 30 September 2026, Creative House 2 works under the Massive Entertainment name.

Rainbow Six: Vantage Studios

Creative House 1, with Assassin's Creed and Far Cry. Siege, Tactics and the remaining Mobile months sit here.

The Division, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell: Massive Entertainment

Creative House 2, for shooter and co-op games, led by Christoph Hartmann since mid-2026. It also runs the MOBA March of Giants.

  • Steam versions need a Ubisoft account. Steam lists a Ubisoft account or launcher for Blacklist, Siege, The Division, Wildlands, Breakpoint and Extraction. That ties the games to the Ubisoft account, so the account's library is where you check ownership. Our Ubisoft account linking guide explains how Steam and console links work.
  • Online modes of older games are gone. Ubisoft's store marks multiplayer and online features as no longer available for EndWar, Future Soldier and Conviction; their single-player parts still work.

Frequently asked questions

What is the first Tom Clancy game?

Rainbow Six, released by Red Storm in August 1998, is the first game of the Ubisoft-era Tom Clancy series. Tom Clancy's SSN, a submarine game from the mid-1990s, came earlier but was made by other companies.

What order should I play the Tom Clancy games in?

Play by series, not by brand. Each series (Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division) has its own story, so start with the first game of the series you want, or with its newest game if you only want one.

How many Tom Clancy games are there?

We count 29 games across Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division, H.A.W.X and EndWar from 1998 to 2026, without expansions, handheld spin-offs or DLC.

What is the newest Tom Clancy game?

The Division Resurgence, released on 31 March 2026 on mobile and on Steam on 5 August 2026. Rainbow Six Mobile launched a month earlier, on 23 February 2026, and shuts down on 15 January 2027.

Is The Division 3 confirmed?

Yes. Massive Entertainment says it was announced in 2023 that it leads development of The Division 3. Ubisoft has not given a release date or year as of 23 October 2026.

How many Division games are there?

Two main games (2016 and 2019) and the free spin-off Resurgence (2026). The Division 3 and The Division 2: Survivors are announced; The Division Heartland was stopped in 2024.

Is there a new Splinter Cell game?

A remake of the first Splinter Cell has been in development at Ubisoft Toronto since its announcement on 15 December 2021. It has no release date. The newest released game is still Blacklist from 2013.

What is the best Tom Clancy game?

On PC Metacritic, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (92), followed by the original Splinter Cell (91). The best-rated Rainbow Six games on PC are the 1998 original and Vegas, both 85.
