How R6 ranked charms work
Ubisoft's Matchmaking Rating article (31 July 2020) set the rule that still applies: “At the end of every season, players receive a charm based on the highest rank they've managed to achieve during that season.” Its example is the one people search for: reach Diamond, finish in Gold, get the Diamond charm.
- It is a Ranked reward. The charm is tied to your Ranked rank, and Ubisoft says every Ranked match moves the Ranked 3.0 rewards track.
- A reset can cost you the charm. The same Ubisoft article says that if your MMR was reset because of drastic MMR changes, you do not get the seasonal charm for the rank you held before the reset.
- Ranked 2.0 paid out at season end. Ubisoft's Solar Raid notes say players get one reward for every rank division reached in a season, and that “Rewards are granted at the end of each season.”
- Ranked 3.0 put the charm on a track. The Ranked 3.0 update lists the charm at 80 points and says rank-based rewards are tied to the highest rank of the season, even if you derank later.

What the table does not show. Ubisoft's season pages do not publish a picture or name for each season's ranked charm, so we list the rules, not the designs. Ranked charms also existed before Year 5; this list starts where Ubisoft's own rules are documented.
Ranked 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0: what changed for charms
The charm itself stayed one per season. What changed is how you reach a rank, and therefore what a charm from a given year tells you.
| System | Seasons | How rank works | Charm rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ranked (MMR) | Up to Y7S3 Brutal Swarm | Hidden MMR decides your rank; Champions for 5,000 MMR and above since Y4S3 Ember Rise | Charm for the highest rank reached; none for a rank lost to an MMR reset |
| Ranked 2.0 | Y7S4 Solar Raid to Y11S1 Silent Hunt | Rank Points; five divisions per rank at 100 RP each; Emerald added between Platinum and Diamond; no placements | One reward per division reached, the rank charm among them, granted at the end of the season |
| Ranked 3.0 | Y11S2 System Override onward | No hidden MMR, your skill is your rank; Champion gets divisions I to V; 5 placement matches return | Charm on the rewards track at 80 points, tied to the highest rank of the season |
Ubisoft's Ember Rise notes introduced the Champions rank for players above 5,000 MMR, with the top 9,999 numbered. The Solar Raid notes introduced Rank Points and Emerald. System Override removed hidden MMR and says the charm and card background rewards are on the track and “tied to each rank you receive.” For the full Ranked 3.0 reward track, see our Ranked 3.0 rewards guide.

R6 Split Fire ranked charm: this season's charm
Operation Split Fire (Y11S3) launched on 1 September 2026, and the Split Fire Battle Pass runs from 1 September to 1 December 2026. Here is what earns its charm.
1. Reach 80 track points
Every Ranked match moves the Competitive Rewards track: 2 points for a win, 1 for a loss. 80 points is 40 wins at best, or about 54 matches at a 50 % win rate.
2. Push your peak
The charm follows the highest rank you reach this season, so a late climb still counts and a derank afterwards does not take it away.
3. Check after the season
Ubisoft's Ranked 3.0 pages do not give an exact delivery time for the rank version. Under Ranked 2.0 rank rewards were granted at season end, so look in your charm inventory once Y11S4 starts.
Legend Division charm
New in Split Fire: Legend players who finish in the top 100 get a charm next season that shows their final leaderboard position. Ubisoft says you keep it only while you stay in the top 100. Access needs Champion this season and Platinum last season (Ubisoft).
Y11S4
The roadmap lists Season 4 as scheduled, with a final operator remaster, a new weapon and three modernized maps. Ubisoft has not given its name or date as of 22 October 2026 (roadmap).
For the entry rules of the new playlist, read our Legend Division guide.
Which rank tiers have a ranked charm
Since Solar Raid there are eight rank tiers, and the season charm reflects the highest one you reached. The last column links to accounts in our shop whose highest ranked charm is that tier or better.
| Rank tier | What Ubisoft says | Peak rank filter |
|---|---|---|
| Champion(s) | Added in Y4S3 Ember Rise for 5,000 MMR and above; divisions I to V since Ranked 3.0 | Champions peak |
| Diamond | Five divisions of 100 RP each since Y7S4 | Diamond or better |
| Emerald | Added in Y7S4 Solar Raid, between Platinum and Diamond | Emerald or better |
| Platinum | Five divisions since Y7S4; Platinum last season is one Legend Division entry rule | Platinum or better |
| Gold | Five divisions since Y7S4 | Gold or better |
| Silver | Five divisions since Y7S4 | Silver or better |
| Bronze | Five divisions since Y7S4 | Bronze or better |
| Copper | Five divisions since Y7S4; the lowest tier | Any ranked account |
How many players reach each tier is a different question; our R6 rank distribution 2026 post covers it.
Why old ranked charms show an account's history
A ranked charm is earned, not sold. Ubisoft's pages describe it only as a Ranked reward, tied to one season and one peak rank. That makes the charm row in an account's inventory one of the few records of what the account actually did in Ranked.
Peak rank
The best charm on the account is the highest rank it ever reached in a season. A Champions or Diamond charm is a fact about the account, even if its current rank is lower or unranked.
Seasons played
Each charm is one Ranked season. A long row of charms means the account played Ranked across many seasons, not once.
Era
An Emerald charm can only come from Y7S4 Solar Raid or later, because Emerald did not exist before. A Champions charm from the MMR era means 5,000 MMR or more at some point in that season.
Gaps
A missing season usually means no Ranked play then. It never lowers the peak shown by the other charms.
This is why our shop shows a Peak rank on every R6 account: it is the highest ranked season charm on the account, with the date we checked it. It is not the current rank. For the age markers beyond charms, such as the veteran badge, see R6 seasons in order.
Frequently asked questions
How do you get ranked charms in R6?
Play Ranked in a season. You get one charm for the highest rank you reach that season. Under Ranked 3.0 the charm sits at 80 points on the Competitive Rewards track (2 points per win, 1 per loss).
Do you get the ranked charm for your highest or final rank?
Your highest. Ubisoft's example: reach Diamond, finish in Gold, receive the Diamond charm. Ranked 3.0 keeps this: rank rewards are tied to the highest rank of the season even after a derank.
When do you get your R6 ranked charm?
Under Ranked 2.0 rewards were granted at the end of each season. Ubisoft's Ranked 3.0 pages give no exact time, so check your inventory when the next season starts.
What is the Split Fire ranked charm?
It is the Y11S3 season charm, earned at 80 points on the rewards track and tied to your highest Split Fire rank. Split Fire's Battle Pass runs until 1 December 2026.
Can you lose a ranked charm?
Not by deranking. Ubisoft says you do not get the charm for a rank held before an MMR reset. The Legend top-100 charm is the exception: you keep it only while you stay in the top 100.
Can you buy R6 ranked charms?
Ubisoft describes ranked charms only as Ranked rewards. We have found no Ubisoft page that sells them for R6 Credits.
When was Emerald added to R6?
With Ranked 2.0 in Y7S4 Operation Solar Raid (December 2022), between Platinum and Diamond. An Emerald charm therefore dates from that season or later.
