Rarest Clash Royale Emotes, Tower Skins and Badges 2026: The Cosmetics You Can No Longer Get

A sourced list of the Clash Royale cosmetics that were handed out once and then closed: event and esports emotes, the one-season Pass Royale tower skins of 2019 and 2020, and badges that only early or top players can show. Every item is dated from Supercell's own posts.

Rarest Clash Royale emotes, with dates and sources

These emotes were tied to one event, one tournament or one milestone. The rarity note is our own judgement from how many players could realistically have earned each one. Everything else in a row comes from the Supercell post linked in it.

If you are ranking by scarcity alone, the Global Tournament King emote comes first, because only 100 players could earn it per tournament. The CRL Challenge emote and the yearly 20-Win emotes come next, since they demand a near-perfect run. The birthday and anniversary emotes were easy to get at the time but closed after one window, so they mostly mark how long an account has been around.

Rarest tower skins Clash Royale players can no longer get

Tower skins arrived with Pass Royale in Season 1, July 2019. For the first 15 seasons Supercell's posts said the season's tower skin and emote could only be earned in that season, and added that you keep them forever once unlocked. The table lists all 16 skins from that first run.

From Season 17 in November 2020 the posts drop the only-this-season wording and call the pass skin "unique", for example the Thermal Baths skin of Season 23 in May 2021. Those later skins may be just as hard to find today, but Supercell never put the exclusivity in writing, so we leave them out of the rare list. A community wiki note says some tower skins started showing up in the Shop from December 2019; we found no Supercell post that brings back one of the 16 above. How the pass works now is in our Pass Royale guide.

Rarest badges in Clash Royale

Badges sit on the player profile, and since the Summer 2022 update you can show three of them on your Battle Banner. Supercell rebuilt the system in the Miner Update of 29 March 2022, and that post is still the clearest list of what each one needs.

The Clan Wars Veteran badge is the cleanest rare badge in the game: it is impossible for any account made after August 2020, and the upgraded versions need 10 or 100 wins from a mode that no longer exists. CRL 20-Win badges carry their year in the name, so a 2021 or 2022 badge dates the account as well as the player's skill. The Miner Update post describes them as unique badges for reaching at least 17 wins.

Clash Royale rare emotes 2026: what is limited this year

2026 has added more one-window cosmetics than any year before it. Some are still open as of 22 October 2026. Supercell has not said whether any of these return later.

Crystal Shop emotes are not old exclusives. Crystals arrived on 24 November 2025 and buy emotes in the Shop. Supercell says emotes from the Crystal Shop "come with a look of their own", so they do not bring back the event emotes above. How Crystals are earned is in our Crystals guide.

Old banners: why the Banner Box items are not on the list

Battle Banners came with the Summer Update of June 2022, which also added the Banner Box: new frames and decorations each season, opened with Banner Tokens or Gems. Supercell retired the Banner Box and Banner Tokens with the update of 31 March 2025, converting 100 tokens into 2,000 Gold, up to 40,000 Gold.

The same post says frames and decorations can still be earned through Challenges, Events, Lucky Drops and Pass Royale and bought in the Shop. It does not say the old seasonal items are gone for good, so we do not count Banner Box items as confirmed rare.

Rare cosmetics we could not confirm

These come up on fan lists and wikis. We could not match them to a Supercell post, so they stay out of the tables until we can.

  • RED tower decorations, 2016. The wiki says iOS players who bought either of two (RED) offers released on 3 November 2016 had red decorations on their towers until 6 December 2016. We found no Supercell post.
  • CRL World Finals 2018 Goblin emote. The wiki lists an exclusive Goblin emote for linking Supercell ID to YouTube during the 2018 finals. Supercell's own post only names Gems, Gold and chests as the watch rewards.
  • CRL 20-Win badges for 2018, 2019, 2023 and 2024. The wiki lists badges for those years. Supercell's posts confirm the 2023 challenge dates (15 to 20 November 2023) but we found no post naming those badges.
  • Season 12 tower skin name. The June 2020 pass post does not name it; "Tower of Dreams" is the wiki's name.

How to check an account for rare cosmetics

1. Badges first

Open the player profile. The Clan Wars Veteran and CRL 20-Win badges carry the clearest proof, because their windows are closed and dated.

2. Emotes and tower skins

Open your collection and look for the season items in the tables above. The Pass Royale skins of Seasons 1 to 15 point to a pass bought between July 2019 and September 2020.

3. Years Played

The Years Played badge upgrades on the date the account was created, so it is the quickest age check.

4. Do not trust screenshots

A badge or emote only counts if you see it on the account itself. A screenshot can come from any profile.

Global Tournaments and challenges, where most of these rewards came from, are explained in our challenges and tournaments guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is the rarest emote in Clash Royale?

By numbers, the Global Tournament King emote: from January 2020 only the top 100 finishers of a seasonal Global Tournament earned it. The CRL Challenge emote of March 2019, given for 20 wins, is the rarest one-time esports emote.

What is the rarest tower skin in Clash Royale?

The one-season Pass Royale skins of 2019 and 2020. Shark Tank from Season 1 in July 2019 was the first, and Supercell called that season your only chance to get it.

What is the rarest badge in Clash Royale?

The Clan Wars Veteran badge is impossible to earn now, since it needs a win in the first Clan Wars, which ended on 31 August 2020. The full set of three C.H.A.O.S Secret Badges is rarer by share: Supercell says only 2.4 % unlocked all three.

Do exclusive emotes ever come back?

We found no Supercell post bringing back any of the exclusive emotes in this list. Crystal Shop emotes are new versions with their own look, not the old exclusives.

How do I get the Clan Wars Veteran badge?

You cannot anymore. It unlocked for accounts with at least 1 win in the original Clan Wars, which ran from April 2018 until Clan Wars 2 replaced it in August 2020.

What do you get for 20 wins in the 2026 20-Win Challenge?

Supercell's Shocktober post confirms an emote for reaching 20 wins. The challenge runs from 26 October to 2 November 2026.

Are Banner Box banners rare?

Not confirmed. The Banner Box was removed on 31 March 2025, but Supercell says frames and decorations can still be earned elsewhere and has not said the old ones are gone.
