GTA Online DLC list in order: 2013 to 2015
We pulled all 1,741 posts in the GTA Online section of Rockstar's Newswire and kept every content update that has its own launch post. Dates are the dates of those posts. Weekly events, single-car drops and bug-fix title updates are left out. GTA Online launched on PS3 and Xbox 360, reached PS4 and Xbox One on 18 November 2014 and PC on 14 April 2015.

Ill-Gotten Gains Part 1 still names PS3 and Xbox 360 in its post. From the Freemode Events Update on 15 September 2015, Rockstar's update posts name only PS4, Xbox One and PC.

These four years built the business system most accounts still run on: the CEO Office, MC Clubhouse, Bunker, Hangar, Facility and Nightclub all arrived between June 2016 and July 2018.

GTA Online updates timeline: 2020 to 2026
From 2020 the rhythm is fixed: a summer update in June, July or August and a winter update in December. GTA Online came to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 15 March 2022, and the PC Enhanced version on 4 March 2025, the same day as Oscar Guzman Flies Again.

No winter 2026 update is announced. As of 23 October 2026 the latest GTA Online posts are the Halloween event (1 October) and the GTA+ benefits for October (8 October). Every December from 2016 to 2025 brought a big update, but Rockstar has not announced one for December 2026, and GTA VI launches on 19 November. Cayo Perico was the first Heist Rockstar built to be played "either as a lone operator or with up to three other players". Every heist since then can be run alone, which is why solo money-making changed so much after December 2020.
Time-limited GTA Online updates: items you can only have from back then
Rockstar's early holiday updates sold items for a fixed window. The posts say what you bought stayed in your inventory, which is why old accounts can hold clothing and vehicles that were not on sale for years.
- Holiday Gifts (24 Dec 2013): holiday items "until January 5th" 2014.
- Valentine's Day Massacre Special (13 Feb 2014): items on sale "until the end of February"; "once acquired" they were kept.
- Halloween Surprise (29 Oct 2015): the Lurcher, Fränken Stange and masks on sale until 16 November 2015; Rockstar says they "remain in your inventory" after that.
- Festive Surprise 2015 (21 Dec 2015): free holiday clothing and masks until 5 January 2016.
Rockstar has brought some seasonal items back in later years, so check before you treat any single item as gone for good. What an old account really holds is the combination: rank, properties already bought and the money left over.
What the update history tells you about the next one
- Two big updates a year since 2016. Every year from 2016 to 2025 had a December update; summer updates landed between 7 June and 29 August.
- Spring drops in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The Last Dose (16 Mar 2023), The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid (7 Mar 2024) and Oscar Guzman Flies Again (4 Mar 2025) each followed the previous winter update.
- 2026 has had one big update so far. The Kortz Center Heist in July, and no spring drop.
- GTA VI is single-player. Rockstar calls it "a single player experience" and has not announced an online mode, so GTA Online is still the only Rockstar GTA online game. Details are in our GTA 6 release date guide.

How many GTA Online updates are there?
We count 51 named updates with their own Rockstar launch post between the 1 October 2013 launch and 14 July 2026, not counting weekly events, single vehicle drops and bug-fix title updates.
What is the latest GTA Online update?
The Kortz Center Heist, released on 14 July 2026 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. As of 23 October 2026 no newer update has been announced.
What was the first GTA Online DLC?
The Beach Bum Update on 19 November 2013 was the first content update after the 1 October 2013 launch, followed by the Deathmatch & Race Creators and Capture updates in December 2013.
When did Heists come to GTA Online?
On 10 March 2015, as four-player co-op Heists. Rockstar's launch post names PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One; GTA Online reached PC on 14 April 2015.
What GTA Online update added the Nightclub?
After Hours, released on 24 July 2018, with Tony Prince and the Nightclub Warehouse.
What update added the Kosatka?
The Cayo Perico Heist on 15 December 2020. The Kosatka submarine is the base for that Heist.
Will there be a GTA Online winter update in 2026?
Rockstar has not announced one as of 23 October 2026. A December update came every year from 2016 to 2025, and GTA VI launches on 19 November 2026.
What is the best GTA Online update?
Rockstar does not rank them. By lasting impact on how people earn money, the biggest were Heists (2015), the business updates of 2016-2018 and The Cayo Perico Heist (2020), the first solo-playable Heist.
